About Eled Černik
A craftsman’s eye.
A production specialist’s mind.
I’m a senior book designer and desktop publishing specialist, helping authors, publishers and organisations turn their content into carefully designed publications.

More than 25 years
working with pages.
My background spans more than 25 years of publishing and desktop publishing work, including extensive experience in a publishing house. I design book interiors and covers, reports, white papers, brochures and digital editions.
Over 15 years on Upwork, I have worked on 900+ projects and recorded 35,000+ working hours. The work ranges from long books and structured workbooks to information-rich reports and EPUB conversions.
I care about the details readers may never notice: a comfortable measure, a well-placed caption, a consistent heading system and a source document that remains manageable when revisions arrive.
How I work
Thoughtful design.
Dependable structure.
Clarity first
Typography, hierarchy and pacing are chosen around the content and its audience. A beautiful page should also be easy to read.
Built to last
Paragraph styles, character styles and reusable page structures keep long documents consistent and make later changes easier.
Ready for production
Final files are prepared around the agreed print or digital requirements, with close attention to the details that affect output.
Tools & publishing formats
The right tools.
The right final files.
Adobe InDesign is at the centre of my layout workflow, supported by Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro. I work with print-ready PDFs, editable InDesign documents, reflowable EPUBs and fixed-layout digital editions.
My production experience includes Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu and Acutrack, with files prepared to the specifications of the selected platform.
